In Loving Memory of Deborah Carol Wilson

July 10, 1956 – June 7, 2025
We are sad to announce the passing of our Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Cherished Friend who departed this life to join her loved ones waiting to welcome her home. She passed peacefully in the afternoon of June 7, 2025 with loved ones surrounding her.
Debbie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Juan Carroll and Carolyn Berlyne Knight on July 10, 1956. She grew up in Tulsa and has maintained close ties to friends and family there throughout the years.
She married Ernest Lynn Wilson in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 1, 1974. Her passion and priority were always her family. She and Lynn had five daughters, Sheila Spotten, Jennifer Hunter, Alisha Nuttall (David), Angela Wilson (Dan Weiler), and Mckenzie Taylor (Nick), as well as 16 foster children, and a Japanese foreign exchange daughter, Ayumi Akita. She also has 19 grandchildren (including Ayumi), and 4 great grandchildren.
Debbie served in Primary, Jr Sunday School, Relief Society, as well as Ward Chorister. She loved working with younger children and served 42+ years as either Primary Chorister or Pianist. She also substitute taught at school preferring the younger Kindergarten through 3rd graders. Debbie also served two years as PTA President and Room Mother many times as her children were growing up.
Debbie loved to travel and was heart broke when she had to cancel the last two trips she had planned due to failing health. Once Covid restrictions were cancelled she was continually making plans to travel. This became more difficult as progression of her cancer took place. She made friends wherever she went.
Debbie had a remarkable self-deprecating sense of humor and was always quick to laugh at her own faux pas.
She will be missed terribly.
