Rosanne passed away peacefully June 18th, 2025 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years. Together they reared four children and were blessed with twelve grandchildren.

Rosanne was born August 16, 1944 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Gene Thomas Haag and Nellie Sherma Cobbley Haag. She spent her childhood and teenage years in the Provo/Orem area of Utah and graduated from Orem High School, where she served on the editorial staff of the school newspaper. She attended Brigham Young University, earning her degree and meeting her future husband, Cardell Jacobson. They were married on August 27, 1965, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Rosanne worked for two years as a social worker while supporting Cardell in graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She later earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from BYU and began a rewarding career as the librarian at Orem High School in 1986. She cherished her time teaching and mentoring students at her alma mater and remained there for 20 years until her retirement in 2006.

Rosanne had a deep love of learning, reading, and music and encouraged her children in their all their pursuits. She and Cardell were able to travel throughout the United States and to several countries abroad. She was a lifelong and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings.

Late in life she struggled with Alzheimer’s disease, but she remained the kind and loving person she had been all her life. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Jennifer Duerden (Darren) of Laie, Hawaii; Justin Jacobson of Glendive, Montana; Jon Taylor Jacobson (Melanie) of Woods Cross, Utah; and Jordan Thomas Jacobson (Elizabeth) of West Hartford, Connecticut.
