It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Michael “Mike” Conner, age 67, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Kennewick, WA surrounded by the love of his children. Born on June 5, 1957, to Clarice and Marty in Minot, North Dakota, Mike lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Mike is survived by his four beloved children and their spouses: Jill Renae (43) & Shane Johnson, David “DJ” Jeremy (42) & Kristeen Conner, Jeffrey Michael (40) & Charlee Conner and Megan McKenzie (34). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Joey (18), Brylee (16), Kaden (14), Chloe (13) Brixton (11), Rockwell (9), Memphis (3), and Collins “CoCo” (1). He is also remembered fondly by his siblings, Sandra Davis and Steve Conner, along with his late brother Todd Payne. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Opal Murdock.

His love for basketball was evident throughout his 40-year coaching career, where he inspired countless young athletes with his dedication and enthusiasm. He was not only a coach but a mentor who left a lasting impact on the lives of those he taught.

In addition to his coaching, Mike was actively involved in his community, always seeking opportunities to give back and support others. His commitment to service was evident in every aspect of his life. Throughout the years, he married Susan Renae in 1980 with whom he shared a blessed marriage where they had four beautiful children.
