Ada Mae Wild Bennett

Ada Mae (Wild) Bennett passed away on March 24th , 2025 at her home in Salt Lake City, UT.

Born Feb. 3, 1935 in Alpine, UT to Elry Wild and Jennie Adams, she was the second of two children. She grew up in Alpine and attended American Fork High School and BYU. She married Jay Lyn Bennett of Tremonton, UT on Sep. 16, 1955 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Ada and Jay lived in Salt Lake City, UT; Alpine, UT; Minneapolis, MN; Clearwater, FL; Redlands, CA; Orlando, FL; and Pleasant Grove, UT. After Jay’s passing in 2018, Ada moved to Cedar Hills, UT and then to Salt Lake City.

Ada was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various leadership callings. She served as a temple worker in both the Orlando, FL and Mt. Timpanogos, UT Temples. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and playing games.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jay, her brother Dell, and her son Scott. She is survived by daughters April Bennett Stirling (Don Stirling) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Wendy Bennett Rogers (Donald Rogers) of Cedar Hills, UT, as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Canyon Heights LDS Chapel, 3785 West Box Elder Drive, 4000 North, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062. The viewing will be held the same day from 09:45-10:45 AM. Interment will be at the Alpine City Cemetery.
