Kathryn (Kathy) Lambson Brinkerhoff

Kathryn (Kathy) Lambson Brinkerhoff, 97, of Mapleton, Utah, Passed away, October 28, 2025. STe was born on February 21, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Gus Lambson and Lillie Langford Lambson. She married Hal Chamberlain Brinkerhoff on March 24, 1946 in Ely, Nevada, later sealed in the Manti Temple with their three children. Hal preceded her in death on December 18, 2013.

Kathy lived a full life. She grew up in Antimony, Utah, and graduated from Piute High School with the class of 1946, and has lived in Mapleton for over 60 years. She brought love to everyone around her and would drop what she was doing to spend time and talk with friends and family when they came to visit.

Kathy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings there. She also was a member of the Maple Leaf Riding Club and Jaycees with her husband where she made many good friends. Kathy had a love for her pioneer ancestors, was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and spent many hours researching stories about her family. She and her husband Hal were world travelers and visited many of the countries where their ancestors were from including Scotland, England, and other places throughout Europe. Kathy loved arts and crafts and was a skilled artist. She also spent many hours tending to her flowers in her yard.

Kathy is survived by her three children: Karla (Dave) Wheeler of Springville, Utah; Leslie Giles of Payson, Utah; Brad (Heidi) Brinkerhoff of Mapleton, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, and 24 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Hal, son-in-law Larry Giles, and granddaughter Maridith White.

A viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home, 211 East 200 South in Springville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 8th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel located at 825 E. Hawks Rest Dr., Mapleton, with a viewing held that morning at the church from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East in Springville.
