Alice Darlene Brown Borget

Alice Darlene Brown Borget, 85, of Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1939, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Archie and Elaine Brown. On December 20, 1957, she was sealed to her eternal companion, John David Borget, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Darlene lived a life of faith, service, and love. She served faithfully in many church callings, including Ward and Stake Primary President, Ward Relief Society, Ward Young Women’s President, and with her husband on three missions to Adelaide, Australia; Baltimore, Maryland; and Independence, Missouri.
She worked for several years at Westridge Elementary and Provo High School as a secretary in the front office, supporting the principals and staff. She also operated her own porcelain business, where she taught classes and shared her talents with the community.
Darlene is survived by her husband, J. David Borget of Orem, UT; seven children: John (Laura) of Provo, UT; Steven (Jeanne) of Washington, UT; James (Nadine) of Pleasant Grove, UT; Richard (Lori) of Springville, UT; Rodney (Marile) of Washington, UT; Marci (David) Morgan of Moorpark, CA; and Matthew (Jackie) of Highland, UT. She leaves behind 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Bonnie (Dennis) Brown Danielson of Gilbert, AZ. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa (Kelley) Hansen Hunsaker (Cliff); her parents, Archie and Elaine Morris Brown; sisters Glenys (Jay) Birks and Jerry (Paul) McKay; and brother Mike (Kaye) Brown.
An evening viewing will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 S. State Street, Orem. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the church located at 95 North 600 West, Orem, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Provo City Cemetery.
