Floyd Milo Muhlestein
Floyd Milo Muhlestein, 91, died peacefully in his home on August 9, 2026 surrounded by family. Dad was born on October 10, 1934 as the 2nd son and 5th of 7 children born to Joseph and Juanita Muhlestein in Provo, UT.
He spent his youth growing up on a small farm where the Provo Temple now sits. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Provo. In his youth, he was President of the RCC (Rock Canyon Crew). He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War where he served for 2 years. He attended BYU studying Animal Husbandry where he met the love of his life Linda Lee Smith of Corona Del Mar, California. They were married in the Manti Temple on September 7, 1962.
They raised their family in Springville, Utah, fulfilling his lifelong dream of running his own dairy. In 1985 they moved and expanded the dairy to Leland, Utah where he continued to farm with his sons. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in various callings, his Temple service as a main highlight.
Most of all he enjoyed family activities, including building a family cabin up Fairview with his father and siblings and their children. He was a die hard BYU fan, loved to play cards (cribbage was his favorite) and always enjoyed having a “tilt”. He was a prankster at heart, quick witted and was always messing with someone. He loved to farm and we hope he is now plowing off into the sunset.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 64 years, his children Trent (Debbie) Muhlestein, Benjamin, UT, Tracy Muhlestein, Salt Lake, UT, Milt (Debbie) Muhlestein, Elkridge, UT, Mindy (Preston) Voorhees, Spanish Fork, UT, Taralei (Shane) Leifson, Spanish Fork, UT, and a brother Jim (Karen) Muhlestein, Oakley, ID. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Nelma, Elaine, Betty, Keith and Gerald.

A viewing will be held Thursday evening, August 13th from 6 to 8pm at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, UT. Funeral services will be held at the Benjamin Church, 3200 West 7300 South, Benjamin, UT on Friday, August 14th at 11:00am with a viewing that morning from 9:30 to 10:45am.
Interment will be held at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.
