Jan Thurgood Squire
Jan Thurgood Squire, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Provo, Utah. She was born September 28, 1949, in Provo to Jack and LaGean Thurgood and lived in Orem for the last 54 years.
Jan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Delance Squire; sons Lance (Mary), Jared (DeeAnne), Ryan (Melissa), Derek (Elizabeth), and Gavin (Courtney); and 19 beloved grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, in the LDS Stonewood Chapel, 450 South 100 West, Orem, Utah, on August 29 at 11 am. Visitations will be held at the same chapel on the morning of the service from 9:30-10:30 am, and on Friday, August 28 from 6-8 pm. Internment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
