Ronald Thomas Ludlow

Ronald Thomas Ludlow, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. He was born on March 23, 1934, in Benjamin, Utah to John Earl and Maude Houghton Ludlow, where he spent his entire life building a legacy rooted in faith, hard work, and family.

Ronald married the love of his life, Colleen Hansen, on May 14, 1953. Together they shared more than seven decades of marriage, raising their family and working side by side on the land they loved. Farming and raising sheep and cattle was not just his livelihood–it was his life. He took great pride in the soil, the seasons, and the values that come from honest work.

Ronald proudly served in the National Guard for 32 years, from which he later retired. He was a man of quiet strength, known for his dedication to family, his love of reading, and his steady presence. Family always came first, and he found his greatest joy surrounded by those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Colleen Hansen Ludlow; his children Kathy (Robert) Lloyd, Julie Lombardi, and Tom (Monique) Ludlow; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Bruce Thompson and sister Shirley Bradford.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Lynn Ludlow, and his twin brother, Donald Ludlow, his grandson Cory Young, and granddaughter Celeste Lloyd. His brother Jay Russell Ludlow and sister Earlene Steele also precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Newland and Helen Leek Hansen.

Ronald will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his devotion to family, and the life he cultivated both on the farm and in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. A viewing will be held in the same location from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Benjamin Cemetery following the service.
