Kent S. Turner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 79.

Kent was born on May 22, 1947, in Delta, Utah, to Fred S. Turner and Florence Elaine Theobald Turner. He was raised in Delta where he developed a love for family, hard work, sports, and learning that would remain with him throughout his life.

On December 20,1967, Kent married his highschool sweetheart and the love of his life Jackee Nelson. Together they built a home filled with faith, love, laughter, and devotion, raising seven children and creating a lasting legacy that now includes 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Kent graduated from Delta High School before attending Dixie College. He went on to earn his doctorate in Dentistry from the University of California, San Francisco, fulfilling his dream of becoming a dentist. Throughout his career, he was known for his skill, compassion, and genuine concern for those he served.

Kent embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. He loved sports of every kind, especially football, basketball, baseball, golf, water skiing and tennis. He found joy in woodworking, farming, gardening, boating, reading, and continually learning new things. Music was one of his greatest passions. He loved to sing and was talented on the piano, saxophone, and accordion, bringing happiness to family gatherings and countless special moments.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kent faithfully served in many callings including as a bishop. His testimony, willingness to serve, and quiet example of faith blessed his family and all who knew him.

Above all else, Kent cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a delighted great-grandfather. His greatest happiness came from spending time with those he loved, offering encouragement, sharing stories, teaching through example, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Kent is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jackee Turner; his children, Reuben (Raegan) Turner, Tracie (David) Hancock, Tyler (Susie) Turner, Angela (David) Tanner, Benjamin (Gabrielle) Turner, Liz (John) Dryden, and Ted (Rosa) Turner; his 25 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren, and his siblings Doug Turner, Judy Tolbert, Garn Turner, Blaine Turner, and Bruce Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred S. Turner and Florence Elaine Turner, and his sisters, Diane Turner, Caroline Turner, and Julia Turner.

Kent’s life was defined by faith, integrity, generosity, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. His influence will continue through the countless lives he touched as a husband, father, grandfather, friend, dentist, teacher, and disciple of Jesus Christ. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the knowledge that families are eternal and that they will see him again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Canyon Heights Building, 3785 W. Boxelder Dr., Cedar Hills, Utah 84062. The viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and kindness shown during this time as they celebrate the remarkable life of a man who loved deeply, served faithfully, and left the world better than he found it.
