Marian Kay Andress

Nov 3, 2026

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we remember the beautiful life of Marian Kay Andress, who passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 76. Though her time on earth has come to an end, the love she gave so freely, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched will remain forever.

Marian was born in Provo, Utah on May 24th, 1950, to parents Marion Dean and Rae Lou Elsberry. She met and married the love of her life Lloyd “Butch” Andress on August 29, 1969, and was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo, Utah temple August 29, 1985. She was many things throughout her life–a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, a cherished sister and niece, and a treasured friend. But more than any title she held, Marian was someone who made others feel loved, welcomed, understood, and cared for.

After high school, Marian graduated from beauty school and later pursued a career as a medical assistant. She held many different callings in her ward and served all with grace.

Marian found happiness in life’s beautiful details. She loved shopping, expressing her creativity, and transforming ordinary spaces into something warm and inviting. Decorating for the holidays was one of her special joys. She had a gift for making each season feel magical, filling her surroundings with beauty, warmth, and the unmistakable feeling of home.

Being a grandmother and great-grandmother was among her most treasured blessings. The moments spent together, the traditions she created, and the love she poured into each generation became part of a legacy far greater than she could have imagined.

She possessed a rare and beautiful gift: the ability to recognize what others needed, often before they could find the words to ask. Her kindness was genuine, her compassion boundless, and her empathy came naturally. She had a nurturing spirit and a heart that seemed to have room for everyone.

Her life was a collection of these quiet, extraordinary acts of pure love. A love that time cannot diminish, distance cannot erase, and even death cannot take away.

She is her Children: Deana (Ryan) Puffer, Matt (Raina) Andress, Natalie (David) Peterson and Kyle (Jessica) Andress; Grandchildren: Hadon, Jasper, Brylee, Hunter, Erika, Jaida, Delaney, Marley, Makenna, Nash, Parker, and Avery; Great-grandchildren: Ellery, Josie, Monroe, Walker, Soren, Hagen, Ryker, Skylynn; brother Terry (Susan) Elsberry, sister-in-law Nadine Hickman, Uncle Gerald “Gary” (Eileen) Voorhees, and Aunt Beulah Nielsen.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd “Butch” Andress and parents Marion Dean and Rae Lou Elsberry.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 274 South Main Street in Payson, Utah.
