Benny Dee Hullinger, 86, passed away September 18, 2026, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, from respiratory failure surrounded by family. Born November 7, 1939, in Myton, Utah, to Charles and Arda Hullinger, Benny was a lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove and a proud member of the 1957 state championship football team. He graduated from Central Utah Vocational School’s aerospace program and married Carol Breinholt on July 8, 1961, in the Manti LDS Temple, sharing over 65 wonderful years together. Benny worked for Hercules for 30 years writing technical documentation for rocket motors and later founded Quest, designing innovative dumpsters. A true craftsman, he built his family’s home of 50 years and loved restoring vintage vehicles. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished horses, hunting, Lake Powell, and annual family camping trips in the Uinta Mountains. Benny was devoted to his faith and family, he taught by example through hard work, kindness, and dedication. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children Sherri, Scott, Jeff, Kevin, and Tammy; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Carlie Williams. Services will be Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Battlecreek 7th Ward, 1106 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
