Snow College names 2024 Distinguished Alumni honorees

EPHRAIM – Snow College honored two distinguished couples, Larry and Jennifer Farnes and Art and Heather Enke, as the college’s newest Distinguished Alumni at this year’s homecoming events on Oct. 26. Both couples, who each began their journeys together at Snow College, were celebrated at the Distinguished Alumni Luncheon, participate in the homecoming parade, and received special recognition at halftime during the homecoming game.

Larry and Jennifer Farnes, who met at Snow College in 1969, built a life centered around service and achievement. Jennifer was deeply involved in theater, student government, and even took on the role of Buster the Badger, Snow College’s beloved mascot. Larry, a key player on the college’s National Junior College Championship basketball team in 1970, went on to a career as a physical therapist and successful entrepreneur, while Jennifer contributed to his ventures and served in various community roles. The couple now resides in Port Ludlow, Washington, and enjoys spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Art and Heather Enke.
Art and Heather Enke, who began their journey together in the 1990s near Snow College’s iconic bell tower, also have strong ties to the college’s music programs. Art, a trumpet player, and Heather, who sang and played piano, performed together in the choir at the Ephraim Institute of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After a journey filled with entrepreneurial endeavors, the couple found success with their software company, Corjl, in 2015. The Enkes currently live in Phoenix, Arizona.
