Snow College has announced a new initiative offering free online classes aimed at helping individuals enhance their careers, grow their businesses, or acquire new skills. The courses are available to anyone interested, and upon successful completion, students will earn Snow College credit and micro-credentials that can be used to demonstrate proficiency to potential employers.

The courses include:

Basic Microsoft Office: This introductory course covers the essentials of Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. It is ideal for those new to the workforce, older adults looking to update their skills, or anyone interested in mastering the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Career and Workplace Skills: A two-part series designed to prepare individuals for the job market. In addition to mastering Microsoft Office, students will take the Clifton Strengths Assessment to identify their strengths, learn how to craft effective resumes and cover letters, and practice networking and interviewing techniques.

Content and Email Marketing: Focused on digital marketing strategies, these classes teach participants how to create digital content, build a website, grow social media accounts, and communicate effectively with customers through email. The course is perfect for entrepreneurs or anyone looking to explore digital marketing.

Snow College President Stacee Yardley McIff expressed excitement about the new offerings, stating, “These classes will benefit anyone looking to learn a new skill, expand their business, or prepare to enter the workforce. We are particularly excited to offer this opportunity to our rural communities.”
