Snow College celebrates National Student Employee Week
Snow College is pleased to announce its celebration of National Student Employee Week, which will be held the week of April 14.
Snow College will celebrate National Student Employee Week beginning April 14, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and contributions of the more than 700 student employees who help keep the campus running smoothly every day.
Whether working behind the scenes in administrative offices, assisting with student programs, or helping maintain the college’s grounds and facilities, student employees play a vital role in the life of the college. National Student Employee Week provides an opportunity to spotlight the essential work these students do and to thank them for their efforts.
“National Student Employee Week is a wonderful chance to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our student employees,” said Lisa Laird, director of the Snow College Career Center. “Their contributions not only support the college’s operations but also help them develop skills and experiences that will serve them throughout their careers. We are incredibly proud of the impact they have on our community.”
Student employment is a hallmark of the Snow College experience. More than 700 students are currently employed across various departments on campus. These roles provide opportunities for students to earn money, gain resume-building experience, and develop skills that will benefit them long after graduation.
As one of the few institutions in the state that prioritizes affordability and student access, Snow College believes that on-campus employment is key to helping students graduate with less debt and more confidence in their future plans. Many student workers go on to careers in their field of study, with valuable hands-on experience gained from their time on campus.
The Career Center and other departments will celebrate student employees with a series of appreciation events and recognitions throughout the week. These celebrations aim to show just how much student workers are valued and to highlight their contributions to Snow College’s mission and culture.
Founded in 1888, Snow College is a two-year institution with campuses in Ephraim and Richfield, and a learning center in Nephi. With an enrollment of over 5,000 students, Snow offers an affordable, personalized college experience that prepares students for successful futures in both the workforce and further education.
