Snow College to celebrate Class of 2025 at commencement ceremonies

By Staff | Apr 30, 2025

Snow College will proudly celebrate the accomplishments of its 1,573 graduates during commencement ceremonies scheduled for May 1-2. The events will honor the hard work, dedication, and success of students from across Utah, the nation, and the world.

This year’s graduating class represents all 29 counties in Utah, 24 different states, and 23 nations across the globe. Ages of the graduates span from a remarkable 16 years old to an inspiring 59, showing that learning at Snow College is truly a lifelong pursuit.

The first of the two ceremonies will be held on May 1 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. Guests are asked to be seated by 1:30 p.m. to allow for the traditional processional march. Jake Hinckley, director of workforce development at Sunroc Construction and a respected leader in the region’s economic development efforts, will address the graduates. The ceremony will also feature a touching tribute to former Snow College Board member David Christensen, who will be posthumously recognized for his unwavering kindness and years of commitment to Snow College and the surrounding community.

The celebration will continue on May 2 in Ephraim, where the ceremony will take place outdoors at the Terry Foote Stadium. Guests should plan to be seated by 2:30 p.m. to witness the processional and the inspiring ceremony that follows. Steve Starks, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Co., will deliver the commencement address. Starks will also receive an honorary degree in recognition of his leadership and service. Sen. Don L. Ipson will be honored as well, receiving an honorary degree for his many contributions to Snow College and to the broader community.

Valedictorian Jeremiah Grant McCormick, of Mount Pleasant, will speak at the Ephraim ceremony, representing the class of 2025 with remarks reflecting on their collective journey and future opportunities. Two additional honor graduates, Paysen Mitchell, of Annabella, and Micarra Christensen, of Richfield, will speak at the Richfield event, offering reflections and encouragement to their fellow classmates.

In addition to the traditional associate degrees, Snow College will celebrate students earning bachelor’s degrees, with a special convocation held on May 1 as part of the Richfield activities.
