As the warmer weather returns, Sanpete County is offering residents and visitors some exciting opportunities to stay active, healthy, and connected. Mark your calendars for two upcoming events filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit.
Community Night Out – Monday, May 5
The annual Community Night Out returns to Mt. Pleasant City Park on Monday, May 5, promising an evening of free family fun. From 5 to 7 p.m., the park will be bustling with activities for all ages.
Participants can enjoy a free dinner, take part in an impressive raffle, win prizes, and pick up discount lab forms for health screenings. The event will feature a variety of health and wellness booths, fun family games, live music, and more. It’s a great chance to meet and thank our local fire department and EMS heroes in person.
Adding to the excitement, Life Flight will be bringing their helicopter for visitors to explore. Plus, families are invited to meet the beloved Avalanche Dog — and don’t forget, a hug earns a free treat for your own furry friend!
The Community Night Out is a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to gather, celebrate good health, and have a fantastic time together. Everyone is welcome, so bring the whole family and join the fun!
Free bicycle maintenance workshop – Saturday, May 3
Get your bike ready for summer with a free bicycle maintenance workshop hosted by Cycle Sanpete, a local cycling advocacy group. The workshop will be held at Mt. Pleasant City Park on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. until noon.
In partnership with Indigo Bikes, the Ephraim Walmart, the Central Utah Health Department, the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, The Miner Foundation, Tannus, and Majesty Real Estate Group, this event will help riders of all ages learn how to maintain and tune up their bicycles.
Along with helpful demonstrations and maintenance tips, there will be a generous giveaway that includes helmets, bike pumps, bike bells, cleaning sets, tool kits, bike lights, speakers, water bottles, gloves, and more. Refreshments, including snacks and drinks, will also be available for everyone attending.
This workshop is a perfect way to prepare for a safe and enjoyable biking season — whether you’re riding for fun, fitness, or transportation.
Don’t miss out
Both events are great ways to stay engaged, healthy, and safe while having fun with family, friends, and neighbors. Make sure to join the festivities in Mt. Pleasant and kick off your May with community, wellness, and a whole lot of fun!
