Redfeather Acoustic Quartet brings the timeless sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s to the Casino Star Theatre with a free concert on February 24 in Gunnison.

Music lovers are in for a treat as the Red Feather Acoustic Quartet returns to the historic Casino Star Theatre for a free concert on Monday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. The talented ensemble will bring the beloved sounds of the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s to life, delivering a nostalgic evening of acoustic classics and rich three-part harmonies.

Red Feather Acoustic Quartet features Bill Ware on guitar and vocals, Brian Thomas on vocals and harmonica, Rob Ware on bass, and Jeff Whiteley on guitar and vocals. The group’s repertoire includes timeless hits from legendary artists such as James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, the Beatles, the Everly Brothers, Willie Nelson, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, George Strait, Peter & Gordon, Loggins & Messina, and Jimmy Buffett. Their interactive performance encourages audiences to sing along and reminisce through the music of these golden decades.

Beyond their musical talents, Red Feather Acoustic Quartet has deep roots in Utah’s music community. Brian Thomas, Bill Ware, and Jeff Whiteley have been playing together since the 1960s, fostering a lifelong bond through their shared passion for music. In addition to their performances, they are the founders of Excellence in the Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing Utah’s professional musicians. Since 2012, the nonprofit has produced over 1,100 free concerts throughout the state, garnering more than 38 million online views through live-streamed performances.

As part of the Casino Star Theatre Foundation’s ongoing mission to bring arts and cultural experiences to the Gunnison community, Red Feather Acoustic Quartet will also perform a special daytime concert for students at Gunnison Valley Elementary during their visit.

The Casino Star Theatre Foundation, celebrating its 20th year as a nonprofit, continues to bring high-quality entertainment to Central Utah while preserving the historic venue. Upcoming events include the Bulldogs Benefit Concert featuring the Snow College Choirs on March 13 and an exotic bird and reptile show by Scales and Tails of Utah on April 28.
