Fairview Museum welcomes Western-inspired artwork by Kevin Simpson
The Fairview Art Museum would like to announce a new art exhibit which will run from March 7th through May 23rd. We feel honored to have Kevin Simpson display his artwork at the Fairview Museum at 85 N. 100 E. in Fairview.
The Fairview Art Museum is honored to announce an upcoming art exhibit featuring the works of acclaimed pastel artist Kevin Simpson. The exhibit will run from March 7 through May 23 at the museum, located at 85 N. 100 E. in Fairview. Art enthusiasts and community members are invited to an Open House on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to meet the artist and view his collection.
A native of Salina, Utah, Simpson’s upbringing in a small rural town instilled in him a deep appreciation for family, traditional values, and the Western way of life, themes that are central to his art. Though he rediscovered his passion for painting later in life, he has since dedicated himself to pastel work, drawing inspiration from the landscapes and culture of the West.
His impressive portfolio includes scenes of mountain vistas, red rock formations, and still-life compositions, each piece reflecting his travels across Wyoming, Nevada, and Utah. Primarily self-taught, Simpson spends most days painting in his studio, striving to capture the fleeting beauty of the American West.
Simpson’s work has been featured in several prestigious juried exhibitions, including:
- The Arizona Pastel Society International Show and Exhibition.
- The Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada.
- The Pastel Society of Colorado Exhibition and Show.
