Snow College welcomes five new trustees to board
Snow College has announced the appointment of five new members to its Board of Trustees, with their terms set to begin July 1. The new trustees will each serve a four-year term, with the option to renew for an additional four years, bringing a wide range of experience and local leadership to the institution’s governing board.
“We are thrilled to welcome our newest board members and look forward to the expertise and energy they will bring,” said Snow College President Stacee Yardley McIff. “Their leadership will be invaluable as we continue working toward our mission fulfillment and shaping the future of Snow College.”
The newly appointed trustees are:
- Gail Albrecht, assistant superintendent of the Sevier School District. Albrecht holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah and brings a strong background in education and administration.
- Michael Barton, founder and owner of I-FOUR Media in Ephraim. A Snow College alumnus, Barton later earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University and offers valuable experience in media and communications.
- Rusty Bastian, president of Redmond Minerals in Redmond. Bastian, also a Snow College graduate, holds degrees from Utah State University, Des Moines University, and the University of Utah, and provides insight from both the business and scientific sectors.
- Kimberly Dalene Moss, a third grade teacher in the Alpine School District. Moss is a Snow College graduate and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah Valley University. Her passion for early education and dedication to students adds an important perspective to the board.
- Clinton Painter, controller at AZOMITE Mineral Products in Nephi and current Juab County commissioner. Painter earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Utah University and brings experience in both finance and local government.
These appointments come as five current trustees complete their terms: Rick Robinson, Karen Soper, Randy Cox, Heather Groom, and Jeff Kahn. President McIff expressed deep gratitude for their contributions to the college.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to work with these board members,” McIff said. “I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and service.”
