Snow College launches automatic admission program for area seniors

New partnership simplifies college admissions for students in six-county region

Snow College is excited to announce a new data-sharing partnership with regional school districts that will simplify the college admissions process for local students.

High school seniors in central Utah now have a smoother path to college, thanks to a new partnership between Snow College and area school districts. The college has announced a data-sharing agreement that will allow graduating seniors in its six-county service region to opt in for automatic admission–without the need to complete a traditional application.

The innovative effort is designed to streamline the admissions process and expand access to higher education for local students, particularly those who may not have previously considered college an option.

With parental consent, participating school districts will securely share key student information directly with Snow College. Once eligibility is confirmed, students will receive notifications of their admission and any academic scholarship offers they qualify for–no lengthy forms or test score submissions required.

“This is an exciting step forward,” said Cody Branch, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Snow College. “We are grateful to each of the superintendents for working with us to make this possible. Their commitment to student success is clear, and together we hope to empower more students to see themselves as college-bound.”

The initiative targets students in Snow College’s official six-county service area, which includes Sanpete, Sevier, Juab, Wayne, Piute, and Millard counties. These rural areas often face unique challenges in college access, including fewer resources for college counseling and a greater number of first-generation college students.

By eliminating barriers and reducing paperwork, the program aims to make the idea of higher education more tangible for local students–especially those who might not have initially planned to pursue a degree.

“We hope this will be especially meaningful for students who might not have seen college in their future,” Branch added. “Receiving that admission letter from Snow could be the spark that helps boost their confidence and opens the door to new possibilities.”

The program is effective immediately. Parents and guardians are encouraged to follow instructions from their local school districts on how to opt in to the service. Once permission is granted, students can expect to receive admission decisions and scholarship information directly from Snow College.

The college’s leadership says the goal is to not only expand enrollment, but also to build stronger educational pathways between high school and college, giving students a clearer vision of what their future could hold.

This latest effort is just one of several initiatives Snow College has rolled out in recent years to make higher education more affordable, accessible, and personalized. With its campuses in Ephraim and Richfield and a learning center in Nephi, the college currently serves more than 5,000 students and prides itself on helping students graduate with minimal debt and a strong plan for the future.

Founded in 1888, Snow College has a longstanding commitment to student success and community collaboration. More information about the admissions process and programs offered can be found online at https://snow.edu.
