Snow College announces exciting lineup of November fine arts performances
Snow College Fine Art schedule for Fall 2024.
EPHRAIM — The Snow College Fine Arts Division and Eccles Center for the Performing Arts have announced a full calendar of performances throughout November, offering audiences a rich variety of concerts, recitals, and stage productions that highlight the remarkable talent of students and faculty.
From band and jazz concerts to the timeless charm of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “H.M.S. Pinafore, “there’s something for every art lover to enjoy in the coming weeks at the Eccles Center in Ephraim.
November performances
Four Bands One Concert — Nov. 4, 7 p.m.
Kicking off the month, Snow College hosts “Four Bands One Concert,” featuring the Snow College Wind Symphony alongside outstanding high school bands from Gunnison Valley, Manti, and North Sanpete. The concert will be an energetic celebration of music and community. Admission is free and the event takes place in the Eccles Center Jorgensen Concert Hall.
Founders Day Concert — Nov. 7, 7:30 p.m.
Celebrate Snow College’s rich musical tradition at the 28th Annual Founders Day Concert. The Snow College Choirs and Orchestras will take the stage in the Jorgensen Concert Hall for an evening of inspiring performances. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors.
Percussion Studio Recital — Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m.
The Snow College Percussion Studio presents a thrilling night of rhythm and creativity in the Larsen Recital Hall. This showcase promises an immersive experience of dynamic percussion performances. Admission is free.
Chamber Concerts — Nov. 11 and 12, 7:30 p.m.
Experience two nights of intimate and expressive chamber music as Snow College student ensembles perform a variety of duets, trios, and quintets. These concerts offer an up-close look at the collaboration and artistry of Snow’s musicians. Admission is free, and both performances will be held in the Jorgensen Concert Hall.
Groove Party Jazz Concert — Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m.
Jazz fans won’t want to miss “Groove Party,” featuring the Midnight Blue Octet, The Vibe, and Jazz Fusion Brigade. This lively concert will fill the Jorgensen Concert Hall with rhythm and energy. Admission is free.
‘Sounds of Britain’ — Symphony Orchestra Concert — Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m.
The Snow College Symphony Orchestra presents “Sounds of Britain,” an evening of memorable works by British composers including Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gustav Holst. This orchestral performance will transport audiences across the English countryside through music. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors.
‘H.M.S. Pinafore’ — Nov. 19-22, 7:30 p.m.
The month concludes with a delightful stage production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta “H.M.S. Pinafore,” directed by Brian Stucki. Set aboard a Royal Navy ship, this witty satire of social class and love across boundaries is filled with lively music and clever humor. Performances run Nov. 19-22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Eccles Center. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for youth and seniors.
December preview
As the fall semester winds down, Snow College will continue its celebration of the arts into December with several highly anticipated performances, including the Production Showcase and Student Composers Concert on Dec. 1, the Jazz Big Band Concert on Dec. 2, the Holiday Music Spectacular and Fall Dance Concert on Dec. 5-6, and the beloved annual performance of “Messiah” on Dec. 6-7.
Supporting student artists
A portion of all ticket sales benefits scholarships for performing arts students in Snow College’s music, dance, and theatre departments. Additional donation options are also available for those wishing to support the future of the arts.
