Ephraim gears up for a month of fun with Public Power Week and Nightmare on Main

By Staff | Oct 8, 2025

Public Power Week is coming up October 6-9. Ephraim Power will be hosting a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT on October 9th. The Ephraim Power Rangers will be there doing free bucket rides, power pole climbing, handing our free donuts and more!

October is shaping up to be a month full of excitement in Ephraim, with two big community celebrations on the calendar: Public Power Week and the always-popular Nightmare on Main.

Public Power Week Community Event – Oct. 9

Public Power Week started Monday and concludes Wednesday. Ephraim City is inviting everyone to come celebrate at a free community event on Wednesday.

Families won’t want to miss the chance to meet the city’s own Ephraim Power Rangers, who will be giving free bucket rides, showing off their skills with power pole climbing demonstrations, and handing out free donuts.

To make the event even more special, there will be a variety of food trucks offering tasty treats and the always-popular Snow College STEM mobile, bringing hands-on science and technology fun for kids and adults alike.

“This is a great way to celebrate our community’s public power and to say thank you to the people who keep our lights on,” said an Ephraim City representative. “It’s a chance to learn, have fun, and spend time together as a community.”

Nightmare on Main – Oct. 24

The spooky season gets into full swing later in the month with the return of Nightmare on Main on Thursday, Oct. 24.

As always, Main Street will be reserved for trick-or-treating and games hosted by local businesses, giving families a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween.

New this year is a Trunk or Treat and Trunk Decorating Contest, inviting community members to join the fun by decorating their vehicles and handing out candy.

For teens, there’s the free Monster Mash Stomp, a lively dance party perfect for celebrating with friends. And to wrap up the evening, everyone is invited to enjoy a free Halloween movie at the Towne Theater.

“These events really bring our community together,” organizers said. “We love seeing families and neighbors come out, have fun, and create lasting memories.”

Both events are free and open to everyone. For more details and updates, visit the Ephraim City website or check out the city’s social media pages.

Starting at $4.32/week.
