Snow College to honor four alumni for excellence, service and legacy
Distinguished group to be recognized during homecoming festivities
Ephraim — Snow College was set to celebrate four outstanding individuals during its recent homecoming festivities, honoring them with Alumni Legacy Awards for their professional accomplishments, lifelong service and continued dedication to the college.
The honorees were set to be recognized at a special banquet on Oct. 10, and again during the homecoming football game on Oct. 11. Each recipient represents the lasting impact of a Snow College education — where opportunity, community and personal growth come together to inspire a lifetime of success.
Rising Alumni Award — Milinda Weeks

Milinda Weeks
Milinda Weeks, now an associate professor of scenic design at Brigham Young University, began her academic journey at Snow College. A nationally recognized designer and educator, Weeks has led major theatrical productions and secured grants that advance the field of theatre technology. Her work in mentorship and community outreach has made her a standout leader in the arts, embodying the spirit of creativity and collaboration she first experienced at Snow.
Spirit of Snow Award — Brach Schlueter

Brach Schlueter
Few individuals have shaped the heart of Snow College quite like Brach Schlueter, who devoted 32 years to the institution. Serving as director of enrollment and later as dean of student life, Schlueter was instrumental in building the Snow Ambassador program and redefining student recruitment. Known for his compassion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to student success, Schlueter truly exemplifies the “Spirit of Snow.”
Legacy Alumni Award — Mark J. Howard

Mark Howard
Mark J. Howard’s story began at Snow College, where a football scholarship opened the door to a lifetime of leadership and service. His distinguished career includes serving as an Air Force colonel and later as a hospital CEO, earning national recognition for excellence and humanitarianism. Today, Howard continues to give back as a member of the Snow College Foundation Board, creating opportunities for students just as others once did for him.
Distinguished Alumni Award — Doug Barton

Doug Barton
A native of Manti and a member of the Utah Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Doug Barton has dedicated his life to community media and education. Founder of Mid-Utah Radio, Barton has transformed local broadcasting across central Utah while mentoring countless aspiring broadcasters. He credits his success to hard work, family, and his deep connection to Snow College, where his passion for radio first took root.
Honoring Snow’s legacy
“These honorees represent the very best of Snow College,” said college officials. “Their contributions–to their professions, communities, and to Snow itself–illustrate how the college’s influence continues to ripple outward through generations.”
Snow College’s Alumni Legacy Awards recognize individuals who demonstrate excellence in their fields, service to others, and a continuing connection to the college.
