Roadway improvements advance at Ephraim Crossing
New projects enhance access, safety, and future growth in southwest Ephraim
EPHRAIM — Major roadway improvements are taking shape in southwest Ephraim as part of the ongoing Ephraim Crossing development, a 300-acre master-planned community designed to balance housing, retail, and infrastructure for the city’s growing population.
The Ephraim Crossing development team announced this week that three key roadway projects are either completed or underway, marking significant progress in improving access, safety, and connectivity for residents and future developments in the area.
400 West, 480 South and 275 West
Construction has been completed on 400 West, extending from 400 South to 500 South, with funding provided by Ephraim Crossing. The upgraded corridor enhances north-south connectivity and improves safety for nearby neighborhoods.
Work has also begun on 480 South and 275 West, which will support the new Flex Homes Development, ensuring smooth and reliable access for future homeowners.
750 South / Ephraim Crossing Parkway
Another milestone includes the completion of paving on 750 South (Ephraim Crossing Parkway), stretching from Highway 89 to 400 West. The new east-west route was funded through federal and state grants and managed by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT).
The roadway not only enhances traffic flow across the south end of town but also forms the northern boundary for the upcoming Intermountain Health facilities. City officials say the corridor will be critical in improving medical access and accommodating future community and commercial growth.
60 West, 730 South and 40 West
Meanwhile, road construction continues on 60 West, between 700 South and Ephraim Crossing. This new stretch will serve as the western boundary of the Canyons Townhomes development, which includes 81 new residential units.
Private drives 730 South and 40 West are also being developed within the project’s first phase to improve internal circulation for residents and connect efficiently with the larger roadway network.
Building for Ephraim’s future
“These projects are about more than just new pavement — they’re about building reliable connections for Ephraim’s future,” said Mike Ballard, developer of Ephraim Crossing. “We’re working hand-in-hand with the City and state agencies to ensure these improvements meet today’s needs and tomorrow’s growth.”
The collaborative effort between Ephraim Crossing, Ephraim City and UDOT underscores the area’s commitment to proactive planning and sustainable development. Together, these roadway upgrades lay the groundwork for a more connected and accessible community, setting the stage for continued residential, commercial, and institutional expansion.
When complete, Ephraim Crossing will feature homes, neighborhood-serving retail, employment opportunities, parks, and trails–all tied together by modern infrastructure designed to serve Ephraim’s long-term needs.
