Alexis Sydney Thomas

1991 – 2021

Alexis Sydney Thomas passed away unexpectedly November 21, 2021. She was born May 14, 1991 in Provo, Utah to Dana Thomas Cordery.

Alexis grew up in Salt Lake City and attended East High School. She loved cooking, painting, cleaning, camping and being surrounded by friends and family. She worked as a dog groomer and loved being around dogs. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She married Matt Gavin, later divorced. She later married Robert Packer. She especially loved being a mother to her children, Lilah and Liam. We will miss her cheerful smile, her laugh and her always telling us “I love you.”

She is survived by her mom, her grandparents Reed and Robyn Thomas, sisters Aja Martin, Kimberly Olsen and Erin Cordery and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also survived by companion Donavin Moore. Preceded in death by stepfather Scott Cordery as well as 3 half brothers Jonathan, Christopher and Joshua Cordery.

We are heartbroken by our loss but take comfort in knowing she is out of pain and has been welcomed on the other side of the veil by so many loving people and look forward to our reunion with her one day.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt Pleasant 5th Ward Chapel, 49 S State St, with a viewing from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment at Wales Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com.
