1936 – 2022

Died Aug 16, 2022 in Provo at Utah Valley Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. John was born to parents: Lenard Christensen Syme and Bardella Myra Morley on Dec 19th, 1936, in Moroni, Utah. He lived in Moroni all his life except for his time in the Navy. He was stationed at Point Mugu Naval Base in California. While serving in the navy he met his wife, Arelene. They were married shortly after his discharge from the navy and were together for over 61 years. He had four sons, fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time outdoors for work as well as recreation, and help instill those traits in his sons. He will be missed by those that knew him.
