Ernie Roy Farris (SR)

1952 – 2021

Ernie Roy Farris (SR), Ephraim, UT, Passed away unexpectedly with his son Ernie (JR) by his side in the early morning of December 26th 2021 at the age of 69. Ernie was born September 5th 1952 to Ernest Velosco and Jo Ann Fuller Velosco in Arizona. Ernest passed away in the Korean War when Ernie was a baby. Jo Ann later married Earl Roy Farris, he adopted Ernie (SR) when he was 2.

In the 1970s Ernie moved to Bakersfield, California and met Tami Gear they married and had one son Ernie Thomas Farris (JR) they later divorced. Ernie (SR) and his son Ernie (JR) moved to Sanpete County Utah in 1987, where Ernie became a well known Residential and Commercial painter in the valley. He later took his career to long haul truck driving. He enjoyed hauling all of the United States. He loved to stop in Louisiana to visit his brother Duke and fish. Fishing was his favorite thing to do in his spare time.

In the mid 2000’s Ernie (SR) was strapping down a load on his semi trailer in which he fell and injured his back. He had to step away from trucking due to his injuries. He moved back to Sanpete where his son and family resided. After hurting his back his life was never the same. Ernie was the life of the party. He was always making jokes just to see people smile. He especially loved playing jokes on his Granddaughters like (seafood)

Ernie is survived by his son Ernie JR (Jamie) Farris Moroni, one Grandson Tyler Allen (Farris) Campbell, South Jordan, four granddaughters Mersadie, Kadince, Makylie and Kazlie all of Moroni, two brothers Russ (Laura) Farris of MI and Duke (Connie) Farris of LA and one sister Linnie (Jeff) Johnson of Co. Along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends

Ernie is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Jo Ann Farris, his ex-wife and son’s mother Tami Gear, one sister-in-law Laura Farris and one brother-in-law Jeff Johnson.
