Connie Barker

1939 – 2022

Connie Barker born May 11, 1939, in Heber City, Utah returned to our heavenly father on October 6th, 2022.

Her greatest honor and pleasure in life was her husband and marriage. She married Jay Spencer Barker January 17, 1957, in the Manti Temple.

One of her requests was for her family to know how much she loved them each and everyone, and that they are all special.

Connie had 3 children: Shane Barker, Shawna Barker, Dallon Barker (Vicki Luster).

She has several grandchildren: Cody Carter, Shanna Barker Maneri (Steve Maneri), Sheremie Barker Ochsenbein (Josh Ochsenbein), Weston Barker, Whitney Ashton, Shanna Kauffman (Kurt Kauffman).

Great grandchildren: Mya Carter, Morgan Carter, Rayston Ochsenbein, Radl’n Ochsenbein, Remi Maneri, Gregory Kauffamn, Grace Kauffman, Ethan Davis (Chrissy), Casey Moulton, Haley Moulton.

Connie was a career woman, wife, mother, and friend to many.

She was the President of the Orem Chamber of Commerce 1981, receiving many awards throughout her career. Businessperson of the Year in 1980 as well as Outstanding Contributions to the community. She became a Fellow of the Utah Valley Community Leadership Academy in 1982. She was Chairman of the Utah County Travel Council 1982. She was honored by the Utah Valley Community College as a Leader, Mentor and Friend in 1993.

Preceded in Death by her father John J Jenson, mother Donna Lee Canfield and daughter Shawna Barker.
