Diane Christiansen

1936 – 2023

On January 10, 2023, just five days after her husband Clark passed away, Diane joined him. She was 86. She was born to Harold and Olive Adams in Orem, Utah on January 18, 1936, and later graduated from Orem High School. She met her sweetheart, Clark, while he was serving in the Air Force and they were married on October 22, 1954 in Provo, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 19, 1966.

In 1964 they moved to Boise, Idaho. Diane cared for children in their home to bring in extra income and they eventually converted their house into a full daycare and she managed that for many years. They moved to Provo, Utah where she managed a janitorial crew at BYU. They retired to Spring City and she worked as an aide in an elementary school.

Diane was very social. She loved to travel and entertain with her friends. She also loved to quilt and made many beautiful creations for her family and charities. She was also involved in many of the historical preservation activities in Spring City. She loved to laugh and her cackle was memorable. She was naturally very affectionate and was always hugging and kissing her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, Charles Todd Christiansen; brothers Dean and Max Adams and son-in-law, Mark Later.

She is survived by her sons; Andy Christiansen of Boise Idaho, Lance and Cheryl Christiansen of Nampa, Idaho and Larry Christiansen of Caldwell Idaho; Daughters Cindy Later of Sandy Utah and Joni Brown of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Alan and Jane Adams of Roy, Utah and Donald and Ann Adams of Spokane, Washington.

She had 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

There will be no public funeral service.
