Ellen Louise Irving Allred Rowe

Ellen Louise Irving Allred Rowe, passed away in her son’s home surrounded by family on the morning of March 12, 2024. Ellen was born and raised on March 7, 1940 in Chester, UT to Richard Rodney Irving and Hannah Louise Olsen Irving. Ellen was the fifth sister of seven children. She grew up on a dairy farm in Chester, and learned early the value of hard work, and helping and serving her community.

Ellen married Edgel Lund Allred on November 22, 1957 in Chester and moved to Fountain Green where they raised their three boys. Ellen put herself through school earning her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education while working full time and she was still able to have breakfast on the table and dinner ready every day for her family.

Ellen started her teaching career later in life. She was a passionate educator and loved by her many students. She never hesitated to help a student or family member in need.

She married Rodney Rowe November 26, 1994, they enjoyed many years of traveling, camping, and each other’s company. They enjoyed time with all of their many friends and family. Ellen could always be found sitting in the center seat of the truck next to her love. They never left the house without a kiss goodbye.

Her last few years were spent in Moab where she instantly had a plethora of friends. Her friends and family adored her. Her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joys.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Edgel and later her husband Rodney, her son Lewis Allred, parents, and her siblings Gloria (Freemont) Martin, Doris (Shirley) Pullman, Virginia (Glendon) Freston, Lucielle (Tom) Reece, Kathy (Earl) Hodson, and Lee (Connie) Irving.

She is survived by her sons Scott (Joey) Allred, Thomas (Susie) Allred. Her grandchildren Alishia (Joey) Oliver, Stevie (Zach) Jacobson, Ricky (Laura) Allred, Morgan (Steve) Lee, Thomas Cooper Allred, Perry Allred, Loralee (Angel) Balboa and Kristy (Camron) Hutchings. Seventeen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, along with many many others who loved her.

Services were held Monday March 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary with a visitation Sunday night from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. also at the mortuary. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com.
