1931 – 2026
Ephraim, UT
Buckner Lynn Albert Trevillian, lovingly known as “Buck” passed away at his home in Ephraim, Utah on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the age of 94. Buck was born on July 16, 1931 to parents Buckner Wilson Trevillian and Ruth Anna Cline in Bridgeport, California.
Buck was born into a family of 6 children. His brothers were Wilson and Isaac Trevillian sisters Berniece, Pearle and RozeAnn Trevillian. Buck was the last living member of his immediate family. He was devoted to his loving family and was a quiet and gentle man. Buck was a devoted member of his faith in the Missionary Baptist Church.
At a very young age he spent much of his time traveling with his parents, brothers and sisters across the United States. On one such trip his beloved mother passed away when he was 8 years old. At the time of his mother’s death, Buck and his sisters Pearle and RozeAnn were put in an orphanage in Salem, Virginia. When Buck was 14 years old he ran away from the orphanage with his father and they returned when Buck was 18 and took his sisters with them.
They moved to Grants Pass, Oregon during hard times and did whatever they could to survive. Buck was drafted into the Army at the age of 19. He proudly served in the 101st Airborne out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He volunteered 9 times to go to Korea to no avail. His over seas service was in Alaska which was a territory at the time. During this time, he was sent to Nevada with over 21,000 other men to observe the Atomic Bomb testing at the Desert Rock, Nevada Test Site. The Atomic test operation was known as Upshot- Knothole. Buck always asked why he never got cancer and Mike would tell him that he never got cancer because he already had his radiation treatment in the Nevada desert! Buck was discharged in 1953 at the end of the Korean War. At the time of his death, Buck was a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah where he served faithfully and was very proud of being a member.
Buck met his loving wife Virginia Bryan at the age of 31. They married on August 4, 1967. Buck had 2 children from a previous marriage Debra (Mark) Wardell of Salem, Oregon and Kenneth Wardell (deceased). Buck adopted Virginia’s 2 young children Denise (Mike) Duncan of Ephraim Utah and Lee Trevillian (deceased) together they have a son Lynn (Lil) Trevillian of Amarillo Texas. Buck has 10 grandchildren, Diana, Michael, Martina, Matthew, Samantha, Parker, Savannah, Sabrina, Ashley and David (passed away on January 1, 2026). Buck has 6 great grandchildren Jaxon, Logan, Landyn, Holden, Madlyn and Maxwell. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. His biggest thrill was seeing and interacting with his great grandchildren.
Buck loved to travel with Virginia in his motorhome across the country hitting all 50 states. He loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. He loved to tell stories to his neighbors, family, friends and whoever took the time to listen. He always had a quick wit and loved to tell jokes and tease people. Despite only having a 6th grade education, Buck was able to secure employment in the carpentry business and also worked as a night time security guard at a saw mill in Grants Pass, Oregon for many years providing for his family. He also helped build bridges in Baltimore, Maryland during the Kennedy era. Buck also built an addition to his home for his children.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, 2 sons and recently deceased grandson. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years Virginia, his devoted dog Missie and his children Debbie, Denise, Lynn and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the office ladies, doctors and nurses at Ephraim clinic for their many years of loving care, the Sanpete Valley Hospital and Utah Valley Hospital for the great care during his last recent visits. We would also like to thank the Gunnison Valley Home Health and Hospice for their loving care during the last few days before his death.
