Carolyn Louise Cain Bartholomew
Fayette, Utah
Carolyn Louise Cain Bartholomew, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She returned to her Heavenly Father after a life filled with faith, service, and devotion.
Born August 15, 1941 in Culver City, California to Maslen and Louise Cain, Carolyn was a woman of quiet strength and enduring loyalty. She married Lamar Blaine Bartholomew on September 14, 1962, and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2022. Their union stood as a beautiful testament to partnership, raising their family across Utah, Virginia, and California before eventually returning to Fayette, Utah, in 2000, where Lamar was raised.
Carolyn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Lamar; their children: Beth, Jill, Amy, Aaron, Matthew, Diane, and Mark; 33 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Brian, who gave his life while serving as a missionary to the people of Guatemala, and her daughter, Jean Louise, who passed soon after birth. Above all, she cherished her family, and was endlessly devoted to them.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carolyn served in many capacities. Her life reflected her deep testimony and commitment to family history, temple work, and community. She found peace in the simple beauties of life-her home in Fayette, time with loved ones, and the Sanpete Valley she called home.
