Clifford Michael “Mick” Willingham
1945 – 2026
Clifford Michael “Mick” Willingham, 81, passed away on May 10th, 2026, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson, Arizona, due to heart and renal failure.
Mick was born on February 25th, 1945, in Provo, Utah. He was raised in Orem, Utah, and graduated from Orem High in 1963.
Mick was a born again Christian and now lives with his Heavenly Father. He is a member of Center Point Church in Orem and Calvary Chapel Tucson.
Mick joined the U.S. Navy and spent two tours (1965-1967) in Vietnam and the South China Seas aboard the U.S.S. Sacramento AOE-1. He married Cora Jane “Janie” Kissel on August 3rd, 1966.
Mick had several job occupations throughout his career. He worked at United States Steel Geneva Works in Orem, Utah (1965-1987) and retired when the plant closed. In 1989, he was employed at Barrack Goldstrike Mine in Elko, Nevada. In 1990, he was hired at the United States Postal Service in Elko, Nevada. He also worked at the Orem Post Office, the Springville Post Office, and retired from the Park City Post Office in 2002. His work ethic was exemplary, both at home and his place of employment.
His greatest enjoyment was deer hunting and camping with his family. Soaking in the hot pools at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, was the favorite family vacation. Mick also loved socializing with friends at the cafe in the mornings.
Mick is survived by his wife Janie, three children, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Son: Robert Mirl “Danyel” Willingham, Justin “Amanda” Gaurfolias (AJ, Christian, Talon, Nikka, and Bexon), Rex Mirl “Kaitlin” Willingham (Lakota, Aspen, and Isabella), Tyrel Young, Ethan and Hayden Willingham. Daughter: Julie Dawn Willingham, Son: Jared Michael “former spouse Crystal” Willingham, and Lydia Willingham “fiance Alex Ellington.”
Mick, Janie, and Julie moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2015 to enjoy the warm weather.
Mick was preceded in death by his parents, A.F. “Mike” and Loventris A. Willingham, his brother, Donald H. Willingham, his grandparents, Bill and Pearl Moyer, A.F. Willingham, A. Clifford and Annie I. Fowler.
After cremation, interment will be in the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona, on July 17th, 2026, at 12:00pm.
