Preece rank the top five Utah Valley teams in boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling and girls wrestling for the week of Dec. 15.
BOYS BASKETBALL
1. Timpview 8-0
T-Birds proved dominant versus top out-of-state opponents, too, knocking off both Lufkin (Texas) and Central Catholic (Oregon.)
2. Westlake 7-0
Thunder won the Falcon Classic, defeating host Skyridge in the tournament final 71-58.
3. American Fork 5-3
Cavemen went 1-1 versus top out-of-state competition last week as they prepare for region play.
4. Orem 6-3
Tigers scored an impressive 73-60 win over Lone Peak to move up one spot in the rankings.
5. Springville 5-1
Red Devils enter the rankings on the heels of beating both Fremont and West by significant margins.

1. Pleasant Grove 8-0
Vikings clash with four-time 6A champ Lone Peak on Tuesday.
2. Wasatch 9-1
Wasps went 2-1 on Southern Utah road swing last week.
3. Westlake 6-2
Thunder picked up two nice wins at Holiday Hoopfest.
4. Lone Peak 4-3
Knights lost to a pair of good Texas teams last week.
5. Timpanogos 6-0
T-Wolves with 66 3-pointers in first six games.

Dons took some tough dual meet losses but are still stout.

Lions enter the top five after beating 6A Corner Canyon in a dual meet.
