IRVING, Texas — The Big 12 Conference announced the 2025-26 women’s basketball schedule on Monday morning, an 18-game slate for BYU’s first season under head coach Lee Cummard.

“We are excited to embark on our third season as a member of the Big 12 Conference,” said head coach Lee Cummard. “The Big 12 is a premier women’s basketball league. This schedule is going to require us to raise our level of play in every respect, and our players are ready to take on that challenge.”

The first test for Coach Cummard, who enters his first season at the helm of the Cougar program, will come on the road as BYU travels to Orlando to take on the UCF Knights on Dec. 20. The last meeting between the two teams came in the final game of BYU’s 2024-25 season, with the Knights knocking off BYU 81-69.

Following Christmas, BYU is set to host TCU on New Year’s Eve for its home conference opener before welcoming the Arizona State Sun Devils to the Marriott Center on Jan. 3, 2026. The Horned Frogs last visited Provo on Feb. 21, 2024, with TCU downing the Cougars 68-58. BYU took Arizona State to overtime in the last meeting but fell 82-73 on Feb. 22, 2025.

The Cougars then hit the road for a trip to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats on Jan. 6. BYU’s last game at the McKale Center came on February 19, 2025, and ended in a 65-57 defeat. Cummard’s squad then stays on the road for a battle of the Cougars on Jan. 10 at Houston. The two Cougar teams last met at the Fertitta Center on Jan. 10, 2024, as BYU fell 79-69.

Cummard and the Cougars return to the Marriott Center for a three-game home stand beginning with the Baylor Bears on Jan. 17. BYU’s last game against Baylor in Provo came on Feb. 7, 2024, when the Cougars knocked off the No. 18 Bears 78-66. On Jan. 21, BYU will host the Texas Tech Lady Raiders, who last visited the Marriott Center on Jan. 20, 2024, and took home a 60-48 loss at the hands of the home team.

The West Virginia Mountaineers will then visit the Marriott Center on Jan 24 for the first time since Feb. 3, 2024, when they took down the Cougars 76-69. After the homestand, BYU will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for a date with the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Jan. 28. The last meeting came on Feb. 15, 2025, as BYU knocked off the 20th-ranked Cowgirls 68-64.

After returning from Oklahoma, the Cougars renew their rivalry with the Utah Utes on Jan. 31 at the Marriott Center. The last game played in Provo was broadcast on ESPNU as the Cougars fell to the Utes 81-76 on Jan. 25, 2025.

Following the in-state game, the Cougars head to the Sunflower State to take on the Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 4 at Allen Fieldhouse before traveling to the Little Apple for a matchup with the Kansas State Wildcats on Feb. 7 at the Octagon of Doom.

There is just no place like home. Following the trip to Kansas, the Cougars return to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center to take on the Iowa State Cyclones on Feb. 10. BYU will then make the trip to face the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder for the first time since March 22, 2003, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

BYU will return home to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats on Feb. 17 before bussing to Salt Lake City to tangle with the Utah Utes at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Feb. 21. The last time BYU and Utah played in Salt Lake was on March 1, 2025, as Delaney Gibb went 13-18 from the floor while recording a 36-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 76-73 defeat.

The Cougars’ final road contest of the 2025-26 conference season comes in a trip to Tempe to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils on Feb. 25. Last season, BYU snapped a five-game skid by taking down the Sun Devils in Tempe 77-67 as Kambree Barber turned in a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double with three assists, four rebounds and two blocks en route to being named Big 12 Freshman of the Week.

BYU will finish the season with a senior-day matchup with the Colorado Buffaloes on Feb. 28 before heading to the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, from March 4-9.

Starting at $4.32/week.
