In the lead-up to the fall football practice session we’ll be previewing 15 such players whose contribution and progress throughout August will very likely play big in determining how successful of a team BYU proves to be in 2026.

Legend Glasker

Effectively stretching the coverage is almost always a critical component to offensive success, and whether BYU can do as much effectively this coming season is one of the bigger question marks on the team. It’s where the departure of Parker Kingston truly may be prove debilitating to some degree as there’s no current proven open-field speedster on BYU’s team.

So the Cougars may have to look to first-year players like incoming Lehi star Legend Glasker to prove deep field and open field threats this coming season. The good news is that Legend was mentioned frequently throughout the spring practice session as someone who has provided notice and impressed both his offensive and defensive teammates with his overall ability.

“He’s going to do great things at BYU. You just watch,” said Legend’s cousin and BYU linebacker Isaiah Glasker. “I’ve been watching him develop since little league, and I’m so excited to have him here now as my teammate. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Glasker certainly showed his game-breaking abilities throughout his high school career for the Pioneers with the hope that he can showcase the same during game time as a true freshman this season. It’s a big ask, and there’s a lot for Legend to prove before he becomes an active and consistent contributor.

But given the dearth of true playmaking ability at outside receiver, the onus may rest on Legend in order to truly stretch opposing defenses in becoming a pivotal performer on BYU’s offense this season.
