Prep Football Previews ’26: Mountain View looks for continued improvements
Head Coach: Uani Unga (2nd season)
2025 record: 3-7, 1-4 in Region 8 (5th)
Playoffs: Lost to Salem Hills 35-12 in the first round
Players to Watch: Briggy Moses, WR, Sr., Hyrum Stafford, QB, Sr., Brawley Tuitupou, WR, Sr., Carter Vance, RB, Sr., Tau Wesley, OG, So.
Outlook: Mountain View was probably better than its overall record indicated last season, and with several notable returners on both sides of the football, notable improvements could be in store. This season will also mark the second under Bruin Head Coach Uani Unga, which could provide enhanced returns given players will now enter with an established system in place.
Last season saw Mountain View lose two of its games by a single point, so if you flip those outcomes, the Bruins could be on the cusp of an elusive winning season. Working to do as much this season will be a solid offensive system led by receivers Briggy Moses and Brawley Tuitupou with quarterback Hyrum Stafford looking to deliver the ball to them often.
Should the Bruins find solid play along both their offensive and defensive front, then a winning season could be in the cards for the 2026 season.
