Snow College enrollment surges
EPHRAIM–Snow College, founded in 1888, is experiencing an all-time high enrollment. Following the announcement by the LDS Church regarding the age change for youth to serve missions, it was expected that college enrollment would drop dramatically.
Some schools found fewer students in the halls as young men and women left to serve 18-month and two-year missions. Snow was one of the few that did not see that trend, seeing student numbers rise by approximately seven percent, while other schools experienced only approximately two percent.
The new growth can be attributed to those missionaries returning home. Snow officials believe their growth can be found with student success rates, involvement opportunities and exceptional teaching.
Snow College President Gary L. Carlson said, “Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to quality education and they care about their students. Snow is looking forward and seeks to serve every student with a ‘personalized learning environment.'”
