Utah Jazz announce 2021-22 regular season schedule

The Utah Jazz announced today the team’s 2021-22 regular season schedule presented by University of Utah Health. The Jazz open their 48th NBA campaign at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 20. Utah’s first road game comes two days later on Oct. 22 in Sacramento against the Kings. The regular season will conclude on April 10 on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Utah’s home opener against the Thunder will mark the third time the team has taken on Oklahoma City in a season debut, last time hosting the Thunder to open the 2019-20 season.
Other Jazz games of note include the team taking on the Denver Nuggets on TNT at Vivint Arena on Oct. 26, with visits from Philadelphia on Nov. 16 on TNT, the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 15 on ESPN and a Christmas Night matchup against Dallas on Dec. 25 on ESPN. Following the NBA All-Star Break, the team will be featured on the road against Phoenix on ABC on Feb. 27 and will host Milwaukee on ESPN on March 14, also taking on the Clippers on the road on TNT on March 29, then playing the Lakers at Vivint Arena on TNT on March 31.
Single-game tickets for the 2021-22 Utah Jazz regular season will go on sale to the public on Monday, Aug. 23 beginning at 10 a.m. (MT).
Utah is currently scheduled to appear on national television 26 times including four TNT broadcasts (Oct. 16, Nov. 16, March 29 and March 31), nine ESPN telecasts (Dec. 15, Dec. 25, Jan. 5, Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb. 16, March 9 and March 14) with one game on ABC (Feb. 27) and 12 games on NBA TV (Oct. 31, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Dec. 9, Jan. 1, Jan. 17, Jan. 23, Jan. 24, March 7, March 21, March 27 and April 8). A complete broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
The Jazz will play all Eastern Conference teams twice and Western Conference teams four times apiece, with the exception of four out-of-division Western Conference teams which it will face just three times. The four teams include: Memphis (two home, one away), L.A. Clippers (two home, one away), San Antonio (one home, two away) and L.A. Lakers (one home, two away).
Utah’s month-by-month breakdown include six games in October (two home, four road), 15 games in November (10 home, five road), 14 contests in December (eight home, six road), 16 games in January (five home, 11 road), nine games in February (seven home, two road), 17 games in March (six home, 11 road) and five games in April (three home, two road). The Jazz will have an eight-day extended All-Star break from Feb. 18-23, with All-Star Weekend taking place in Cleveland Feb. 18-20.
The Jazz schedule features 13 back-to-back sets (four home/home, one road/home and eight road/road). The longest homestands at Vivint Arena will span six games (Dec. 15-25 and Feb. 2-14) with the longest road trip also spanning six games (March 20-29).
