The Utah Valley University men’s basketball team has announced that it will host crosstown rival BYU on Wednesday, December 1 at the UCCU Center in Orem.

The Wolverines will face BYU for the fifth time in team history with the Cougars holding a 4-1 advantage in the series. The two teams played last season with BYU taking an 82-60 win at the Marriott Center on Nov. 28. UVU’s win in the series came on Nov. 26, 2016 with the Wolverines taking a 114-101 victory in Provo.

The two teams will meet in the UCCU Center for just the second time in the two team’s history. BYU claimed an 85-58 win over the Wolverines in the only game played between the two teams at the UCCU Center on Nov. 29, 2017.

With the addition of the BYU game at home on Dec. 1, Utah Valley now has non-conference games scheduled at Boise State (Nov. 9), at Pepperdine (Nov. 15), versus Idaho in California (Nov. 22), and at Washington (Dec. 21).

UVU will continue to announce games on its 2021-22 schedule as they become available.
