Utah Valley University women’s basketball coach Dan Nielson announced his squad’s 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday.

The program is coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance, where the Wolverines faced National Champion Stanford in the opening round in San Antonio.

Included in the non-conference schedule are three games against Mountain West programs, five against schools from the Big Sky and one Pac 12 opponent. The WAC schedule will consist of 18 games, which includes home and away contests against six schools and single games against the five Texas schools and Chicago State.

“This schedule will definitely test us,” Nelson said. “Our non-conference opponents are all going to be a challenge and the WAC’s addition of the Texas schools have made the conference that much deeper. We’ll have to be ready to go every night in order to reach our goals.”

After opening the season at home on Nov. 9 against NAIA Park University, the Wolverines will host Fresno State on Nov. 11. The Bulldogs were 17-11 overall and 12-6 in the Mountain West last season and appeared in the Women’s Postseason NIT.

The WAC Tournament begins March 8 in Las Vegas.
