OREM — Utah Valley University Athletics will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the UCCU Stadium on April 9 at 12:45 p.m. at Clyde Field on the UVU campus.

UCCU Stadium, sponsored by Utah Community Credit Union (UCCU), represents a monumental leap forward for the UVU men’s and women’s soccer programs. Situated on the west side of the existing Clyde Field, the new facility is poised to become one of the premier college soccer venues in nation, offering an unparalleled experience for players, fans, and the community.

With a 22,000-square-foot footprint, the UCCU Stadium will feature amenities designed to elevate the collegiate soccer experience. Highlights include state-of-the-art locker rooms, a team lounge, dedicated spaces for visiting teams and officials, an increased capacity of 3,000 spectators through 400 additional chairback seats and covered plaza seating, an MLS-style press box with broadcast capabilities, a new videoboard, and 10 luxury suites.

“This groundbreaking is a testament to our vision for UVU Athletics and our partnership with UCCU,” said Dr. Jared Sumsion, Utah Valley Director of Athletics. “The new stadium will not only enhance our competitive edge but also create a vibrant hub for community interaction and support.”

The ceremony is open to the public. Fans, students, alumni, and community members are invited to join in celebrating the start of a new era for UVU Athletics. Additional details on the construction timeline and further features of the UCCU Stadium will be announced during the event.

Utah Valley University Athletics is a member of NCAA Division I, competing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) with a history of excellence across 16 sports.
