Here are our final weekly power rankings of Big 12 teams for the 2024 regular season.
1. No. 12 Arizona State (10-2, 7-2 Big 12)
Last results: No. 16 Arizona State clinched a spot in the Big 12 Championship game, Cam Skattebo rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-7 thrashing of state rival Arizona.

2. No. 16 Iowa State (10-2, 7-2 Big 12)
Last results: No. 18 Iowa State won ten games for the first time in program history, beating No. 24 Kansas State 29-21.

Last results: Shedeur Sanders set a school record for passing yards in a season (3,926), throwing for 438 yards and five touchdowns as No. 25 Colorado routed Oklahoma State 52-0.

4. No. 17 BYU (10-2, 7-2 Big 12)
Last results: Jake Retzlaff ran for two scores and No. 19 BYU forged a four-way tie for the regular-season Big 12 title with a 30-18 victory against Houston.

What’s Up? BYU and Houston combined for seven turnovers, with the Blue Cougars fumbling twice deep in the Red Cougars territory. … In the second half BYU, ran just 27 plays (20 rushes, seven passes).
5. Baylor (8-4, 6-3 Big 12)
Last results: Sawyer Robertson was 23 of 31 for 310 yards and four touchdowns, leading Baylor to 603 yards of offense in a 45-17 victory against Kansas.

What’s Up? The Bears ended the regular season on a six-game winning streak. … Bryson Washington ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries against Kansas, finishing the regular season with 1,004 yards rushing.
6. Texas Tech (8-4, 6-3 Big 12)
Last results: Tahj Brooks ran 23 times for 188 yards and three touchdowns and Texas Tech scored 29 points in the second quarter of a 52-15 rout of West Virginia.

What’s Up? Brooks is Texas Tech’s all-time leading rusher with 4,560 yards. … The Red Raiders won eight regular season games for the first time since 2009 under the late Mike Leach.
7. TCU (8-4, 6-3 Big 12)
Last results: TCU scored all 20 points in the first half, winning its third straight game and fifth victory its past six games in a 20-13 victory against Cincinnati.

8. Kansas State (8-4, 5-4 Big 12)

9. Kansas (5-7, 4-5 Big 12)
Last results: Devin Neal rushed 20 times for 133 yards and a touchdown but Kansas turned the ball over three times in a 45-17 loss at Baylor.

What’s Up? After a five-game losing streak, Kansas won four of five including victories over ranked teams Iowa State (No. 17), BYU (No. 6) and Colorado (No. 16), then surrendered 605 yards of offense in the loss to Baylor. … Jalon Daniels finished 12 of 23 for 280 yards but two interceptions against the Bears.
10. West Virginia (6-6, 5-4 Big 12)
Last results: Jaheim White ran for 124 yards and a touchdown for West Virginia, which allowed 568 yards of offense and lost to Texas Tech 52-15.

13. Houston (4-8, 3-6 Big 12)
Last results: Houston pulled to within six points (24-18) of No. 19 BYU with eight minutes to play but eventually lost the game 30-18.

What’s Up? The Red Cougars had four turnovers (two fumbles, two interceptions) against BYU. … Houston tried an onside kick after taking a 7-0 lead but the ball was returned 58 yards for a touchdown by Talan Alfrey.
14. UCF (4-8, 2-7 Big 12)
Last results: RJ Harvey ran 20 times for 119 yards and a touchdown as UCF lost at home to Utah 28-14.

What’s Up? After starting 3-0, UCF lost eight of their final nine games. … Dylan Rizk was 11 of 27 for 118 yards and an interception against Utah and was replaced by EJ Coulson, who was 8 of 12 for 70 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
15. Arizona (4-8, 2-7 Big 12)
Last results: Arizona managed just 210 total yards of offense in a 49-7 loss to No. 16 Arizona State.

What’s Up? In their final games in an Arizona uniform, Noah Fifita was 14 of 29 for 126 yards and a touchdown and Tetairoa McMillan caught six passes for 68 yards and a score. … After beating then-No. 10 Utah 23-10 on Sept. 28 the Wildcats lost seven of their final eight games.
16. Oklahoma State (3-9, 0-9 Big 12)
Last results: Oklahoma State lost its ninth consecutive game to end the season, a 52-0 shutout at the hands of No. 25 Colorado.
