The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its 2025 All-MPSF awards Tuesday afternoon, with BYU senior outside hitter Luke Benson named to the All-MPSF First Team and senior outside hitter Miks Ramanis named to the Second Team.

Benson led the Cougars in kills in conference play, with 149. His 3.24 average in kills per set was the fourth-highest in the conference out of all outside hitters. Benson also tallied 20 blocks, 39 digs and 11 aces through BYU’s 12 conference matches. Benson was one of eight players from the conference to sit on the All-MPSF First Team. This is also Benson’s second career All-MPSF selection.

Ramanis collected 115 kills through 36 total sets played, averaging 3.19 kills per set in MPSF play. He also totaled eight aces, 14 blocks and 37 digs. This is Ramanis’ fourth recognition from the MPSF as he was named to the 2022 All-MPSF Freshman Team, 2023 All-MPSF First Team and 2024 All-MPSF Second Team.

UCLA redshirt junior outside hitter Cooper Robinson was named the MPSF Player of the Year after averaging 3.58 kills per set and hitting .389. Pepperdine’s Cole Hartke was awarded MPSF Freshman of the Year, posting 3.74 kills per set and hitting .342.

The MPSF Tournament, with an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament at stake, is underway this week in Malibu. The Cougars are the No. 3 seed and open tournament play in Thursday’s quarterfinals against the winner of the second round matchup between Stanford and Menlo College.

IRVING, Texas — BYU women’s track and field runner Lexy Halladay-Lowry was named the Big 12 Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

The senior has been named the Big 12 Track & Field Athlete of the Week after delivering a standout performance in the 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Competing in the invitational section, the Meridian, Idaho native clocked a time of 14:52.93 to finish second overall. Her time shattered the previous BYU school record of 15:12.90–set by Whittni Morgan in 2021–by nearly 20 seconds.

Halladay-Lowry’s performance not only rewrote the BYU record books, but also propelled her to No. 2 in the NCAA this season and No. 3 in NCAA history in the women’s 5000m. A five-time First Team All-American, she now owns three individual school records for the Cougars: the outdoor 5000m, indoor 5000m, and indoor 3000m.

This marks Halladay-Lowry’s second Big 12 Athlete of the Week honor. She previously earned the award for cross country on October 8, 2024, after winning the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.

Halladay-Lowry’s honor is also BYU Track and Field’s fourth Big 12 Athlete of the Week award of the 2025 indoor and outdoor seasons (Maren Garnett Jan. 15, Riley Chamberlain & Meghan Hunter Feb. 5, Chamberlain Feb. 19).
