BYU’s Davis makes US U19 girls volleyball roster

BYU freshman volleyball player Suli Davis.COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — BYU women’s volleyball outside hitter Suli Davis has been named to the 2025 U.S. Girls U19 National Team, USA Volleyball announced today.
Davis joined the Cougars as an early enrollee for BYU’s winter 2025 semester after being named the 2025 PrepVolleyball Player of the Year and the MVP of the Under Armour All-America Next Game. A two-time district MVP, she was a 2022 state champion and 2023 state semifinalist to go along with 2024 18 Open National Championship MVP, Under Armour All-American and AVCA All-Region honors.
The Cougar freshman will train for the 2025 FIVB U19 World Championship, which will be held in both Osijek, Croatia and Belgrade, Serbia. Training will occur from June 1-7 at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, where 12 athletes will be selected to represent Team USA for international competition.
Selected players will continue training from June 26-30 at the Netherlands National Training Center in Cadier en Keer, Netherlands before traveling to either Croatia or Belgrade (depending on the team’s performance in pool play) to complete from July 1-14.
The U19 Americans will be led by head coach Keegan Cook (Minnesota), assistant coach Alyssa D’Errico (Utah), assistant coach April Sanchez (New Mexico), performance analyst Jon Wong (Florida State), athletic trainer Cherryl Bueno (Coast to Coast AthletiCare) and team lead Courtney Smith (NTDP).
BYU head coach Heather Olmstead will also represent the Americans this summer. She was selected to lead the U21 squad for the NORCECA Pan American Cup earlier this month. Learn more about Davis’ U19 team at the USA Volleyball website.
