Little Chambers was honored as the tournament MVP. She was joined by Suli Davis and Emma Barbero on the all-tournament team. Central Michigan’s Taylor Cripe and Maggie Uhwat, High Point’s Ella Grace Holloway and FDU’s Alessia Zampieri were also recognized.

The Cougars battled through multiple blocks by the High Point defense early in the first set, until back-to-back kills by Suli Davis and Little Chambers evened the score 3-3. Another Little Chambers kill and Lee ace gave BYU an 8-6 edge.

A 3-0 run by the Cougars to gain a 12-8 advantage would steer BYU towards a consistent lead, heading all the way into High Point’s first timeout call at 19-14. An ace by Emma Barbero combined with two Callahan kills forced High Point to burn its second timeout, with BYU leading 23-16.

Davis’ fifth kill of the night would put a bow on set one, with BYU winning 25-17. The Cougars collected 13 kills on an efficient .400 hitting percentage characterized by Alex Bower’s 11 assists as well as two BYU aces.

BYU went on a 3-0 run to kick off the second set, highlighted by a Hannah Billeter ace. After High Point went on a 4-0 run, the Cougars did not falter as they went on another 3-0 run of their own to gain back the lead 8-6.

The Cougars later went on a 5-0 run in the midst of two timeout calls by High Point, extending their lead to 14-9, with the Panthers hitting in the negative. A back-to-back block and kill by Little Chambers would give BYU an eight-point lead, its largest of the set at the time, 19-11.

A 3-0 run consisting of two Anna Blamires kills, the first of her young career, and a Little Chambers kill guided BYU to a 25-13 win in set two, securing a 2-0 lead for the Cougars.

BYU managed a 5-1 lead in the top of Set 3, including two Kemavor kills. The Cougars maintained a steady lead, with a 15-12 advantage off the hand of Elli Mortensen for a kill. High Point slowly crawled back, going on a 3-0 run to then even the score at 16-16 and forcing BYU to call its first timeout of the night.

The Cougars survived through a long rally, taking back a two-point lead 21-19 for High Point to call timeout. After another tie at 21-21, BYU followed with a Little Chambers kill and Kemavor block to go up 23-21.

High Point prompted a late BYU timeout when the Cougars dropped a match-point at 24-22, profiting off the break to manage even scores at 24 and 25. BYU would finish with a Little Chambers kill and double block by Lee and Bower to conclude the match 27-25, securing a 3-0 sweep.
