BYU's Crew McChesney runs to first base during a Big 12 baseball game against No. 22 Arizona at Miller Field on Thursday, April 17, 2025.BYU baseball coach Trent Pratt, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, has announced the 2026 Cougar baseball schedule that includes 22 home games at Miller Park as well as 32 road contests across eight states.
The 54-game schedule features 30 games versus 10 of the other 13 conference teams that sponsor baseball. League baseball opponents Kansas State, TCU and UCF are not on the Cougars’ regular-season conference schedule in 2026.
In addition to 15 conference games, the home schedule includes a three-game, non-conference series with Cal Baptist and in-state midweek games with UVU and Utah Tech.
BYU will face nine teams during the 2026 season who competed in the 2025 NCAA DI Baseball Championship, including conference foes Arizona, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia, as well as UVU and Western Kentucky. Two of the Cougars’ 2026 opponents–Arizona and West Virginia–were ranked in the top 25 of the final 2025 USA Today Coaches Poll.
“Great teams are built by playing great competition, and to that point I really like our 2026 schedule,” said BYU baseball head coach Trent Pratt. “The Big 12 is a challenging baseball conference. Every team is very competitive, and you have to come ready to compete every night. Early games at NCAA-regional-qualifier Western Kentucky, as well as the two-week stretch through California, will help us prepare for conference play. In addition, first-time trips to Baylor and Houston will be great experiences for our baseball team.”
The 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate will move to Surprise Stadium in Sunrise, Arizona, May 20-23. Located 25 miles northwest of Phoenix, Sunrise Stadium is the spring training home to the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals. It was recently ranked No. 1 in USA Today’s Best Spring Training Facility rankings. The 2026 conference baseball championship will feature 12 teams in a single-elimination format.
On Friday, BYU opens its fall exhibition schedule at 6 p.m. with the annual Blue and White Game at Miller Park.
As part of the Homecoming Weekend festivities, Cougar fans will get their first look at the 2026 baseball team. Admission to the Blue & White Game is free. In addition to great baseball, fans can expect a variety of concession options, activities on the concourse, promotional giveaways and a firework show after the game.
BYU will then conclude its fall baseball exhibition schedule with a California road trip to take on UC San Diego at Triton Ballpark in two exhibition games scheduled for Nov. 7-8.
