The Lead: Stunning comeback for No. 11 BYU at Iowa State leads to 41-27 victory

So naturally, the Cougars won by two touchdowns.
How it happened will de dissected over the next couple of weeks (BYU has a bye) but BYU showed immense toughness in rallying for a 41-27 victory in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday, staying undefeated at 8-0 overall and 5-0 in Big 12 play by outscoring the Cyclones 31-3 after that 14-point deficit.
Freshman Bear Bachmeier put the team on his broad shoulders and had his second 300-yard passing game, completing 22 of 35 for 307 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a rushing score. Parker Kingston caught seven passes for 133 yards and both of Bachmeier’s touchdown passes and Chase Roberts had eight catches for 128 yards.
BYU’s defense have up almost 500 yards for the second straight week but also caused four turnovers, including a pick-six by Faletau Satuala in the fourth quarter that gave the Cougars a two-score lead.
