Here’s our weekly power rankings of Big 12 teams with a look at their schedules and matchups.
1. No. 14 Iowa State (3-0, 1-0 Big 12)
Last results: Kyle Konrady kicked a 54-yard field with 1:52 to play and No. 16 Iowa State held on to win the Cy-Hawk Trophy with a 16-13 victory against rival Iowa.
Game On: Saturday at Arkansas State (1-1), 2 p.m. MT (ESPN2)
What’s Up? It was the third victory in four seasons for Iowa State over Iowa. … The Cyclones won the only other meeting with Arkansas State last season, a 52-7 victory in Ames.
2. No. 21 Texas Tech (2-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Behren Morton threw three touchdown passes and defensive tackle Skyler Gill-Howard returned an interception 55 yards for a score as No. 24 Texas Tech blitzed Kent State 62-14.
Game On: Saturday vs. Oregon State (0-2), 1:30 p.m. MT (FOX)
What’s Up? The Red Raiders, who have put up 129 points in their first two games, scored on their first 14 possessions of the season. … Texas Tech won the only previous meeting with Oregon State, a 15-14 victory at Lubbock in 1959.
3. No. 20 Utah (2-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Devon Dampier matched his career best with three touchdown passes as No. 25 Utah blasted Cal Poly 63-9.

What’s Up? Utah is 17-1 in its past 18 home openers under Kyle Whittingham. … The Utes lead the overall series with Wyoming 51-32-1 and have won 10 of the past 11 meetings, including a 30-6 victory at Laramie in 2010.
4. BYU (2-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: The BYU defense forced three turnovers and scored on a safety as the Cougars beat Stanford 27-3.

What’s Up? Running back LJ Martin had his second straight 100-yard game with 18 carries for 110 yards against Stanford. … BYU is one of only two teams which hasn’t given up a touchdown in 2025. The other is fellow Big 12 school Arizona.
5. TCU (1-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Def. North Carolina 48-14 on Sept 1.
Game On: Saturday vs. Abilene Christian (1-1), 6 p.m. MT (ESPN+)
What’s Up? TCU outgained North Carolina 542 to 222 in the opener and the 48 points was the most allowed by the Tar Heels in any opener in school history. … The Frogs have won the only two meetings with Abilene Christian, the last a 62-0 victory at Fort Worth in 1930.
6. Arizona (2-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Noah Fifita threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns in less than three quarters are Arizona hammered Weber State 48-3.

What’s Up? The Arizona-Weber State game was delayed for more than two hours due to lightning. … Arizona leads the overall series with Kansas State 5-1-2 but the purple Wildcats won last year’s meeting 31-7 at Manhattan.
7. Arizona State (1-1, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Blake Shapen’s 58-yard touchdown pass to Brenen Thompson with 30 seconds left lifted Mississippi State to a 24-20 victory against Arizona State.

What’s Up? The Sun Devils had a pair of 100-yard rushers against Mississippi State in Raleek Brown (18 carries for 110 yards) and Kayne Udoh (23-105-1 TD) but quarterback Sam Leavitt was just 10 of 22 for 82 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. … Arizona State won last year’s meeting with Texas State 31-28 in San Marcos.
8. Baylor (1-1, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: No. 17 SMU missed a field goal in the second overtime and Baylor’s Connor Hawkins booted one in from 27 yards to lead the Bears to a wild 48-45 upset.

What’s Up? Sawyer Robertson threw for 440 yards and four touchdowns, including two in the final five minutes of regulation to force overtime. … Baylor and Samford have played just once, a 40-12 Bears victory at Waco in 2002.
9. Kansas (2-1, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: In the first edition of the Border War, Missouri rallied from down 21-6 early and a seven-point deficit in the final 8:45 for a 42-31 victory against Kansas.

What’s Up? Jamal Roberts scored on a 63-yard run with 1:49 to play to lead Missouri to the win. … Jalon Daniels threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns for Kansas.
10. UCF (2-0, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: UCF piled up 356 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground in a 68-7 destruction of North Carolina A&T.

Last results: Third-stringer Ryan Staub threw two TD passes and starter Kaidon Salter ran for another as Colorado rotated quarterbacks in 31-7 victory against Delaware.

What’s Up? Colorado also rotated highly touted freshman Julian Lewis at quarterback. The three signal callers combined to to 22 of 31 for 267 yards. … The Buffaloes won the only previous meeting with Houston, a 29-17 victory at the Bluebonnet Bowl in 1971.

Last results: Conner Weigman threw for 188 yards and a touchdown while running for a score as Houston rolled over Rice 35-9.

What’s Up? Dean Conners, transfer from Rice, ran for 132 yards on 13 carries and scored twice for the Cougars against the Owls. … Houston has scored at least 31 points in 16 consecutive games against Rice and has won nine of the past ten meetings.

Last results: Brendan Sorsby threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead Cincinnati to a 34-20 victory against Bowling Green and former NFL running back Eddie George.

What’s Up? The Bearcats were 0-4 against Bowling Green coming into the game, losing to the Falcons in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994. … Cincinnati has won both previous meetings with Northwestern State, the last a 66-9 thumping at home in 2013.

Last results: Ohio outgained West Virginia 429 yards to 250 yards as the Bobcats earned 17-10 upset win in Athens, Ohio.

What’s Up? After running for 393 yards in Week 1 against Robert Morris, the Mountaineers managed just 72 yards on 28 carries (2.6 yards per carry) vs. Ohio. … Pitt leads the “Backyard Brawl” rivalry with West Virginia 63-41-3 and won 38-34 at home last season.
15. Kansas State (1-2. 0-1 Big 12)
Last results: Cale Hellums accounted for three touchdowns, including a 14-yard scoring run with 2:52 to play as Army upset Kansas State 24-21.

What’s Up? Kansas State managed just 246 yards of offense against Army, with quarterback Avery Johnson finishing 15 of 25 for 172 yards, one touchdown and one interception. … It was just the 10th non-conference home loss for the Wildcats since 1990.
16. Oklahoma State (1-1, 0-0 Big 12)
Last results: Oklahoma State suffered its worst loss in Mike Gundy’s 20 years at the school, a 69-3 beating at the hands of No. 6 Oregon.

What’s Up? Oklahoma State allowed 631 yards of offense to Oregon and nine different players scored for the Ducks. … The 66-point loss was the largest for the Cowboys since Oklahoma became a state in 1907.
